What Students Are Saying

“Dance class with Mary is totally transformational physically, emotionally and spiritually. She is a brilliant and thoughtful teacher who brings joy to every class.”

— Caroline Phipps (Founder of “Living with Inner Elegance”)

“I took Mary’s Acting and Musical Theater Dance classes because I was feeling emotionally blocked as a musician. Mary provided a safe place for me to try new things. She pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and take meaningful steps to be genuinely expressive on stage and meet my artistic goals as a professional opera singer.”

— Sabina Balsamo (Operatic soprano and founder of Sohap Ensemble)

“I believe it is always a teacher’s goal to have a lasting impact on her students, and I can certainly testify that Ms. Rotella has had one on me. As a Broadway performer and film actor, I still think about and apply the work we did in her class daily.”

— Mallory Bechtel (Zoe in Dear Even Hansen)

“Ms. Rotella gave me my first positive experience with dance. She made me feel that no matter what disability I have, I could still do what I love.”

— Ally Coulton (Former High School Student)

“Mary, a woman equally as kind as she is passionate about dance, has turned the art of learning to dance into one of the most enjoyable experiences for me. She fosters an inclusive environment for all with her energy, enthusiasm, and genuine love of teaching. I am so grateful for the opportunity to dance with Mary and for the joy she has brought to my life.”

— Brianna (Current student)
